AYHL 2017-18 President's Message

Welcome to our current and prospective 2017-18 AYHL members! My name is Marshall Allen, and it is a distinct privilege to serve in my 3rd year as President of the AYHL Board of Directors. AYHL is a volunteer-run, non-profit, 501c3 organization that is managed by a 9-member Board, with the mission of integrating closely with local families and businesses to provide the best, most affordable youth hockey experience possible for kids in the greater Amesbury area.

Beginning with the 2015-16 season, AYHL has refreshed our curriculum to offer a fun, competitive and progressive instructional system - that is aligned with our local Amesbury High School (AHS) JV/Varsity programs - and intended to consistently follow each player through their respective hockey skills development playbook.

AYHL also offers Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey Instructional programs at the Graf Rink in Newburyport on Saturday mornings, beginning in Fall 2017. These programs are staffed by AYHL Coaches and AHS JV/Varsity volunteer players, are open to all greater Amesbury residents, and serve as a pipeline to our Mite Instructional team programs.

On behalf of AYHL, I encourage our current and prospective members to re-visit our League’s offerings for the 2017-18 season, and to consider getting involved in our organization as a volunteer on one of our working Committees and/or Instructional Programs. For additional information on these volunteer opportunities – as well as general program information and documents - please search our website or contact one of our Board members at AYHL.org.
